Family Friday Sunset Series
Visitors connect to the natural and cultural resources of the Preserve through the use of their senses, allowing kids of all ages to see, smell, touch, hear and even taste their surroundings.
The Fiesta Bowl is played at University of Phoenix Stadium and is always one of the top four college football bowl games. There are other Fiesta Bowl events, such as a parade, associated with the game.
Fiesta Mall Entertainment
Mariachis, magicians, dancers, bands — several entertainers each Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Center Court at Fiesta Mall in Mesa. Family friendly. Free.

Flagg Gem and Mineral Show
Rocks, minerals, geology, and science. Activities for children, such as “build a volcano.” Mesa Community College. Free.
First Saturday Public Walk Tour
Docent led tours of the Fountain Hills public art collection including more than 70 artworks in parks, plazas and public buildings. Tours are in the morning, take approximately one hour and begin in the Community Center Sculpture Garden. There is a charge for the tour. Reservations required. 480-816-5100.
Friday Night Franks
A unique outdoor cookout experience in the Sonoran desert. Live entertainment, Native American storytelling, horseshoes, wagon rides, and an old fashioned wiener roast featuring a full BBQ menu. Free admission, charge for food and beverages.
Friday Night Unwind
The Musical Instrument Museum in North Phoenix opens on the first Friday in the month for themed entertainment, lectures and workshops. Food and beverage available for purchase. Map to MIM.

Glendale Glitter and Glow

Each year the Mesa Historical Museum Guild and the Mesa Historic Preservation Office sponsors a historic home tour. All proceeds benefit the Mesa Historical Museum.

Military Vehicle Show
Display of jeeps from World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Humvees from Desert Storm, conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, along with troop carriers and armored cars. These historic vehicles will be judged for originality, military significance, and quality of restoration with awards presented Saturday afternoon. Native American Arts Festival
Some of the finest artists in the Southwest gather in downtown Litchfield Park for this festival showcasing both traditional and modern Native American.
Native Trails celebrates Native American society and focuses on the individual cultures of these Southwest tribes. No Pants AZ Light Rail Ride
An event where people ride light rail and take off their pants, and try to act normal about it. Underwear and appropriate demeanor required.
Out and About in Avondale
A monthly community event in Avondale. Activities vary each month and may include block parties, concerts, movies, and seasonal holiday-themed events.
Outdoor Sculpture Tour

Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament
In North Scottsdale the pro golfers will get together for the first PGA tournament of the year. The PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament, formerly known as the FBR Open, is held at the TPC Scottsdale course at the Fairmont Scottsdale. This tournament attracts the largest crowds of any PGA event.
Winter Water Safety Day and Polar Plunge
