Sioux Empire Fair is the largest fair in South Dakota. The event takes place over nine days in August and includes carnival rides, food, agricultural shows, live entertainment, exhibits and much more.

A similar event is the South Dakota State Fair n August to September in Huron, South Dakota.
Powwows are celebrations of Native American culture and heritage and often include traditional dress, dancing, music, arts and crafts, singing and other cultural activities. Powwows are held throughout the year, especially in summer. Browse a list of powwows in South Dakota to learn more.

The Buffalo Roundup & Arts Festival at Custer State Park allows visitors to watch a roundup of around 1,300 buffalo. After the roundup, visitors can see arts and crafts vendors, enjoy pancakes and other food, see traditional Native American entertainment and enjoy other fun activities over two days in September. Wild Bill Days and Days of ‘76 rodeo are two events held in the historic city of Deadwood. Wild Bill Days brings free music and entertainment to the city each June, while the Days of ’76 Rodeo includes a parade and rodeo events each July. Oahe Days is a music and arts festival in Steamboat Park in Pierre. The June event features live music, a parade, art exhibits, food, art vendors and other fun activities for kids and adults.

Crazy Horse VolksMarch is an annual hike up the Crazy Horse Memorial. Though the memorial isn’t complete, up to 15,000 hikers attend the event during the first full weekend in June and can see a close-up view of the mountain sculpture, which includes the 87-foot high face of Crazy Horse.

Don’t miss it!  While you may have heard some buzz about the East Brady Area Riverfest festival you will want to read some of the facts that make it one of the most loved events in the greatest city in the nation!  Read below for the top 8 reasons you don’t want to miss out on the fun and excitement at this great event! Fun filled weekend with something for all ages. Food and Craft Vendors, Rides and Games for Kids, all weekend. Bingo will be held Saturday and Sunday Afternoon at the firehall. Starts Friday evening with Fireman’s Parade, followed by Opening Ceremonies and Naming of the Citizen of the Year, and ending with the Wrangler Band on the stage.

Saturday starts with motorcycle show until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Motorcycle Dice Run sponsored by Clarion County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. at Graham Field. Karns City Quarterback Club will have a Duck Race at the SOI Club. Back to the field, Lil’ Miss Princess and Lil’ Mr. Riverfest Pageant and a Review of the other Pageants that was held July 7th. Boat Poker Run on the river and a DJ at Allegheny Power Sports, On stage East Brady Got Talent Contest followed by a Hula Hoop Contest, followed by May Hollow Remedy Band, 5th annual Shooting for a Cure Dan-O-Mite Shoot for Muscular Dystrophy at the basketball court at the field. On Stage at 7:00 Present Tense Band and ending the evening Fireworks by Starfire.

EAST BRADY AREA RIVERFEST

Performers scheduled so far are Wrangler Band, American Pie, Hot Foot Harry and on Sunday the East Brady Ministerium is sponsoring East Brady Youth Ministery and their music, followed by the Caldwells after the hurch service.

Fun filled weekend with something for everyone. Starts with parade on Fri. evening. There will be food and craft vendors, rides and games for children all weekend, live music on the stage, fireworks, Talent Contest, Beautiful Baby and Precious Pet Contest, interfaith church service, an auction of new donated items, new this year corn hole tournament, and more. Come check us out.

DESCRIPTION: East Brady Riverfest – an annual festival that runs the third full weekend in July. A fun filled weekend with something for everyone – young and old. Starts with annual fireman’s parade. There will be food and craft vendors. Rides and inflatables for children all weekend. There will be a 3-point basketball shoot to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy on Saturday afternoon. There will be live music, karaoke, fireworks, a clown show, an auction, games, contests, and more.

Fun filled weekend with something for all ages. Food and Craft Vendors, Rides and Games for Kids, all weekend. Bingo will be held Saturday and Sunday Afternoon at the firehall. Starts Friday evening with Fireman’s Parade, followed by Opening Ceremonies and Naming of the Citizen of the Year, and ending with the Wrangler Band on the stage.

Saturday starts with motorcycle show until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Motorcycle Dice Run sponsored by Clarion County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. at Graham Field. Karns City Quarterback Club will have a Duck Race at the SOI Club. Back to the field, Lil’ Miss Princess and Lil’ Mr. Riverfest Pageant and a Review of the other Pageants that was held July 7th. Boat Poker Run on the river and a DJ at Allegheny Power Sports, On stage East Brady Got Talent Contest followed by a Hula Hoop Contest, followed by May Hollow Remedy Band, 5th annual Shooting for a Cure Dan-O-Mite Shoot for Muscular Dystrophy at the basketball court at the field. On Stage at 7:00 Present Tense Band and ending the evening Fireworks by Starfire.

Sunday we start with an Interfaith Church Service and Hymn Sing with area ministers and churches hosting. Car Cruise sponsored by Butler Area Street Machine Association, Pet Parade and naming of the Precious Pet Contest winner. Followed by Hot Foot Harry Band, followed by Auction of new donated items. Ending with the naming of the winner of the Beautiful Baby Contest and winners of the raffles.
