South Carolina Strawberry Festival

South Carolina Strawberry Festival – The South Carolina Strawberry Festival has been named South Carolina Event of the Year for two consecutive years. The festival is attended by over 50,000 people for two days of music, fireworks, children’s activities and a variety of food and food-related contests.

In the week leading up to the two days in the park, there are a variety of other events. This year the South Carolina Strawberry Festival Pageant will kick off the festival on Saturday, April 26.

The golf tournament is Wednesday, April 30 at Springfield Golf Club. Thursday, May 1 the Pick-n-Flick (strawberry picking and movie under the stars) will be held at the Spring Farms strawberry fields across from Nation Ford High School. Food, music, games, a cow train and a movie are sure to keep the entire family entertained.

The two days in the park will feature food, music, arts, contests, a car show and kid’s rides. Friday, May 2 will kick off in Walter Elisha Park off of N. White Street in Fort Mill at 4 p.m. Parents can purchase all-you-can-ride wristbands that evening for the kid’s rides. Local, regional and national acts will play on two stages throughout the night. On Saturday, May 3 festival-goers can enjoy a car show, contests, games, food, rides and more music. Fireworks will close out the festival.

The South Carolina Strawberry Festival is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere for all attendees to enjoy.

For the safety of our guests, the South Carolina Strawberry Festival has instituted the following rules and safety guidelines. Any individual who fails to follow these rules may be denied admission to the festival grounds and/or removed from the festival site.

To report a problem or concern, please see one of our “Berry Brigade” volunteers, stop by the public safety tent near the playground, or speak to a uniformed law enforcement officer for assistance.
The following items shall not be permitted on the festival grounds:

· Pets (Except Service Animals)
· Outside Food and Beverages
· Coolers
· Bicycles
· Firearms
· Illegal Drugs

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

No loitering will be permitted outside the festival grounds, including public roads, sidewalks and dedicated festival parking locations.

Only approved vendors shall be permitted to solicit and/or sell at the festival site.

Offensive, disruptive or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.

Littering will not be permitted. Trash and recyclable materials shall be placed in the appropriate containers.

Attendees must exit the festival grounds at the conclusion of festival events.

The SC Strawberry Festival and the Town of Fort Mill are not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen, left unattended and/or left on the premises during or after the conclusion of festival activities. A lost and found tent will be provided near the playground.

Please note that the festival grounds are located in a large, open field. While some areas are accessible via a paved walkway, the majority of the festival grounds will be unpaved and may include small dips or other formations. Please wear comfortable shoes and use caution when moving around the park.
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages.

Any individual wishing to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages must obtain a wristband from one of our ID check stations. A government issued ID will be required in order to verify age and obtain a wristband. Please keep your wristband on and visible at all times.

Alcoholic beverages will be sold on Friday, May 2nd (5:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and Saturday, May 3rd (4:00 PM to 9:00 PM) only. All sales will be cut off 60 minutes prior to close.

ID Check and Ticket Sales Tents will be open from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Friday, May 2nd, and from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday.

You must have a ticket in order to purchase beer. Beer tickets may be purchased from the ID check stations (cash only). Once a beer ticket is purchased, it cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.

Persons who are intoxicated or appear intoxicated will be refused service and may be removed from the festival grounds.

Safety first: If you or someone you know needs assistance calling a cab, please see one of our “Berry Brigade” volunteers, or stop by the public safety tent near the playground.
