Description: Signature festival events include the Harbor Gala and The Grand Tastings. Additional events include Great Wines in Grand Houses wine dinners and wine tastings – a series of elegant events in private homes around the island; the Culinary Tent featuring cooking demonstrations, seminars, sampling and demos; wine and food seminars; and a Charitable Wine Auction that supports local island non-profit organizations and the WGBH Educational Foundation through the Nantucket Wine Festival Charitable Foundation, and The Champagne Veuve Clicquot Grand Dame Brunch, a Nantucket Wine Festival tradition.

A TASTE of WGBH – Artisan Food and Wine Festival

Events or activities to expect: Three-day food and wine festival including Opening Chef’s Gala, Chef Demonstrations on the Sub-Zero & Wolf Celebrity Cooking Stage, Charity Wine Auction, Educational Seminars, and an Artisan Taste Tent.
Description: The festival will feature local chefs, restaurants, local artisanal foods, produce and purveyors, and over 100 wines from around the world. The event will have a Signature WGBH Style, with educational and cultural programming throughout. The underlying mission is to promote and feature green, sustainable practices and to support the local community, and local producers and purveyors.

**The Opening Chef’s Gala Reception will feature 20 stations of local chefs/restaurants paired with select wines from around the world. The evening is an elegant walk around event and will include live music and special WGBH personalities. The WGBH Charity Wine Auction will include a preview showing and reception featuring selected fine wines, and food provided by a featured chef/restaurant. Following the preview, there will be a live auction and wine and food service will continue. The Artisan Taste will give attendees the opportunity to taste and learn about food and wine while experiencing a wide variety of artisanal foods featuring New England’s renowned restaurants, chefs, and local producers.
