Luckyman Concerts Series are set to launch a four-day festival at Tempe Beach Park on Friday, boasting headlining sets by bands as big as Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Bastille and Korn.
Saturday, Viva PHX will return to downtown Phoenix for its second year of bringing indie acts to locations ranging from Civic Space Park to the Crescent Ballroom.
A week later, on March 22, Relentless Beats and the organizers of the True Music Festival, True Music X, are launching an EDM Festival called Phoenix Lights at Civic Space Park.
And before the month is out, McDowell Mountain Music Festival will celebrate its 12th year, having moved to Magaret T. Hance Park, its third location, in 2013.
Only time will tell if Luckyman’s Pot of Gold Music Festival, Stateside’s Viva PHX or Phoenix Lights can sustain itself and grow into a local institution on the level of McDowell Mountain Music Festival.

History of the McDowell Mountain Music fest
The Festival took off in April of 2004 as an endeavor to bring real music back to Arizona while getting the community together for a great cause: our children. Each year, the festival brings together a number of bands from a wide variety of genres from all over the world to Arizona. 100% of the proceeds will benefit local charities from three days of the festival. Deschutes Brewery will be pouring beer all weekend long, and the proximity to bus stops and light rail stations make traveling easy!
