Presale Admission and Carnival Passes are available between April 1 and April 28, 2015 at the Earl Warren Showgrounds Administrative Office. The course follows an iconic route taking in many of London’s landmarks, from the Cutty Sark and the City to St James’ Park and The Mall. If you have your own place in the race you will not have a minimum fundraising target, anything you can raise is fantastic.
The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £700 million for good causes since the race began in 1981. Our office is located near the east entrance (Gate A) accessible from Las Positas Rd. Phone 805. The tickets will be sold at the main entrance (Gate B) on Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th from 8am to 5pm. We are open Monday through Friday from 8-5pm. She had opened a page to get moolah for the Sammies as news of her demise hit the Telly and radio waves, the number of donations increased from over $700 to more than £1 million. Following the Boston Marathon bombings by more muslim nutjobs, organisers of the 2013 London Marathon undertook a review of their security arrangements, despite no specific threats against the event.
A 30 second silence was held before the start of the marathon to show respect and support to those affected by the tragedy. For many years the London and Polytechnic Marathons competed with each other until, in 1996, the latter folded in due to the popularity of the former. Eleven participants have died since the event began, the most recent being in 2012 when a 30-year-old woman, Claire Squires, collapsed whilst running along Birdcage Walk, by Jimmy’s Saint Jimster’s Park.
