Description of the Kite Festival
The Community Kite Festival of Huntsville, AL is organized to foster inclusiveness and increase awareness of social issues in the community.

The Community Kite Festival of Huntsville, Alabama is a collaborative effort of over 60 non-profits organizations to promote awareness and inclusiveness and to impact the total community. The theme of the event is “Soar for Social Justice” and is organized by AshaKiran and the City of Huntsville with the help of over 30 co-sponsors. The first Kite Festival was held on March 9, 2013 at John Hunt Park with over 2000 attendees, enjoying a day of kite-flying, fun activities, music and entertainment while learning about the many diverse social issues in our community.
