While you may have heard some buzz about the Christmas In The Country festival you will want to read some of the facts that make it one of the most loved events in the greatest city in the nation! Read below for the top 8 reasons you don’t want to miss out on the fun and excitement at this great event!
Christmas in the Country has been recognized as the #1 Contemporary and Classic Artisan Market in the nation by Sunshine Artist, the leading publication in the art and craft event industry. Perennially ranked as one of the top 5 events in the nation, Christmas in the Country retakes the number one position it previously held in 2009. Now, celebrating its 29th anniversary and drawing almost 60,000 visitors over four days, the event has grown from a modest quilt show to a marketplace of over 400 artisans from across the country and around the globe.
This is all thanks to our tremendously talented artisans and the overwhelming support of patrons from Western New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Canada, said Daniel Kaczynski from Premier Promotions, producers of the event. To be nationally recognized as the best of the best is a tribute that all of Western New York can be proud of, added Kaczynski.
The economic impact of this event is formidable. Restaurants and hotels benefit significantly from patrons and artisans travelling to the event. Local artisans typically mark Christmas in the Country as the highest grossing event of the year. Our artisans are the quintessential small business person. They are equal parts CEO, accountant, marketing executive, manufacturer, salesperson and artisan, said Kaczynski. They really represent the very best of our country hardworking, ingenious and determined. And to see the community support them to this extent is very gratifying, added Kaczynski.
Attendees at Christmas in the Country will find unique and only handcrafted creations including gourmet foods, spa quality bath and beauty products, original music, trendsetting jewelry, handpoured aromatic candles, eco-friendly clothing, pottery, original wall art, woodwork, home decor and holiday gift items galore.
This is an opportunity to make gift buying and shopping very meaningful,†said Sally Kaczynski, founder of Premier Promotions. The artisans are spread out over four buildings at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.
