Evergreen Summerfest 2015 – Ticket prices are $20 when ordered online beforehand, $25 at the door.  The 37th annual Summerfest Arts Festival is a two-day festival held outdoors at the athletic fields at Buchanan Park in Evergreen.  Satisfy your appetite with cuisine from gourmet food trucks.  From I-70 exit Evergreen Parkway via exit #252.  Only 25 minutes from downtown Denver!  Save the Date – July 18 and 19.  Proceeds from Summerfest go to support arts programming year-round.  Follow Evergreen Parkway/Hwy 74 for 3.

It is a juried exhibition of gallery quality fine art and fine crafts.  It is hosted by the Center for the Arts Evergreen, a nonprofit organization whose mission is “.  The festival will be on the left at the intersection of Evergreen Parkway/Hwy 74 and Squaw Pass Rd.  RTD lot north of the festival, and the back parking lots at Bergen Village with a shuttle right to the festival.

Back by popular demand, Summerfest presents the Palette of Brews – a Colorado beer tasting event.  It is a juried exhibition of gallery quality fine art and fine crafts.  Proceeds from Summerfest go to support arts programming year-round.  Since 1980, With over 100 artists from all over the country, Summerfest provides fun for all ages.  Parking locations include most of the adjacent Buchanan Rec Center lots, the office park lots south of the Buchanan Ponds off of Castle Ct.

A separate admission ticket will provide you with unlimited tastes from some of Colorado’s finest craft brewers.  Music, entertainment, art and fine crafts included; bring your friends!  It is hosted by the Center for the Arts Evergreen, a nonprofit organization whose mission to promote and cultivate artistic excellence in the visual and performing arts in order to enrich the art experience in our mountain community.  There will be signs for parking locations.  The 37th annual Summerfest Arts Festival will be a two day festival held outdoors at the athletic fields at Buchanan Park in Evergreen.  In addition to great art, we have local food, live music, special performances, and a children’s activity area.

Summerfest kicks off Arts Alive Evergreen, a 10-day showcase event featuring the best of Evergreen’s visual and performing arts. This collaboration allows us to attract more visitors from all over the Denver Metro Area to Summerfest.

Summer fest features a fabulous selection of gallery quality fine art and fine crafts chosen by a jury process, a children’s area to engage the younger visitors, performances by local favorites and star performers to add to the festival spirit, and a Beer and Wine Garden to compliment the wonderful food selection. Summerfest is known for our beautiful mountain setting, bringing in a dedicated art buying crowd, and offering the best support services for our artist vendors.

Application:
Each application must be accompanied by a non-refundable jury fee payment. Applications submitted via Cafe require a $25 jury fee. Paper applications are on our website and require a $35 jury fee.

Booth Space:
Each exhibitor will be provided a space measuring 10’ x 10’ and all spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists are to provide their own display booth, racks and/or tables in order to display their work in an outdoor environment.

All booths must include a tent or overhead protection with walls. Artists desiring corner locations, electricity, or having any other specific space requests, will be assigned spaces on a first come, first served basis. Specific booth assignments are available only at check in. All booth locations are final. There are occasional high winds in Colorado in July. Booths/tents should be sturdy and must be weighted or staked.

Arise Music Festival is back in Colorado for the second year in a row, and from August 8-10 the Sunrise Ranch in Loveland will play host to bands like Beats Antique, Galactic, The Infamous Stringdusters, Groundation and Tribal Seeds (and a heck of a lot more). But the stellar lineup and genre-bending musicians aren’t the only thing to look forward to during this three-day love fest. From yoga to yummy food, storytelling to belly dancing, we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best things to do at Arise Festival is one of Colorado’s best besides see live music.

Peter Yarrow Storytelling Songs

Peter Yarrow–one third of the folk-singing trio Peter, Paul & Mary–will sit down with his daughter Bethany and cellist Rufus Cappadocia for an hour of story telling and music. A fierce activist and the brains behind hits like “Day is Done,” “Light One Candle” and of course, “Puff the Magic Dragon,” this event is great for attendees of all ages.

Indulge in yummy Colorado craft beers on tap all weekend at Arise Festival, ready to quench your pallet after a long day of boogying. All local brews and some of the finest in the state. Don’t forget your ID!

Herbalist, author and raw food chef Bridgette Mars will be leading three different herbal workshops through Arise Festival weekend. This will include an “herb walk,” as well as herbal folk festival medicine and herbs as natural first aid remedies.

Using various combinations of welding, carving, painting and engraving, Bruce Campbell has made a name for himself designing larger-than-life installations on salvaged industrial forms using all recycled materials. His artwork will be on display at Arise Festival for the second year in a row.

Denver’s Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community throws an enormous party every summer with Denver PrideFest in Civic Center Park. Recognized as one of the top ten pride events in the country, Denver PrideFest is a celebration of community and culture that is welcoming — and fun! — to all attendees, regardless of sexual orientation. Produced by the Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado, the two-day festival gets bigger. Last year attracted more than 200,000 people from Colorado and the surrounding areas. This year should draw even more revelers.

COLORADO BLACK ARTS FESTIVAL

The Colorado Black Arts Festival is a three-day festival that presents an array of exciting African-American arts and cultural delights. A wide array of art will adorn the grounds and live music (including jazz, hip hop, R&B, rock ‘n’ roll and more) from the people of African descent will give way to a memorable weekend. This is a family friendly event with programming and activities for the entire family.

UNION STATION GRAND OPENING

For several years, Denver’s Union Station has been undergoing a major transformation to once again be a destination for Coloradans and visitors alike. The project includes an extensive transportation hub, a custom-crafted line up of locally owned restaurants and shops, and a new 112 room hotel. On July 12, be there for the FREE grand opening celebration, with loads of fun activities, giveaways and more.

DENVER POST UNDERGROUND MUSIC SHOWCASE (UMS)

The Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, Denver’s very own version of Austin’s South By Southwest Music Festival, takes over the streets and stages of South Broadway for a multi-night extravaganza featuring the cream of Denver’s underground music scene. This year, 250-300 local and national bands will play in 25-30 venues for more than 5,000 music lovers over four days and nights. Live music fans can stroll from club to club, from stage to stage, catching the city’s rising stars before the rest of the world hears about them.

COLORADO DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

Founded in 2001 to celebrate Colorado’s rich Asian Pacific American (APA) culture, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival has become the region’s fastest growing fun, family-friendly summer festival. Vail International Dance Festival,Celebrating its 26th season the Vail International Dance Festival, lead by Artistic Director Damian Woetzel, is a celebration of dance held July 27 – August 9, 2014 in Vail, Colorado, features many forms of dance, and boasts an international reputation and dedicated following. The year the Festival will host 9 performances at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, 2 performances at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, a series of master classes and free interactive events in the streets of Vail at Solaris Plaza and Arrabelle Square. Artists that have visited the Festival include: New York City Ballet MOVES, BalletX, Martha Graham Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dane Company, Pacific Northwest Ballet and stars from the Royal Ballet, New York City Ballet, America Ballet Theater, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet, Hamburg Ballet and Harlem Dance Company. The 2014 Festival line-up will be announced in January 2014 and tickets will go on-sale March 25, 2014.
