Aubrey Peanut Festival can’t stop the fun

Aubrey Peanut Festival – Although peanut harvesting in the Aubrey area is in our past, area citizens have gathered in the town of Aubrey for an annual salute to the peanut as a part of our heritage since 1986. Attractions include: The parade which begins the day at 10:00 am, with citizens of the area riding past the spectators who line Main Street. Entertainment will include local singing artists, a gunslinger show, strolling entertainers, and a balloon twister.

Although peanut harvesting in the Aubrey area is in our past, area citizens have gathered to salute peanuts as a part of our heritage. The festival begins with a parade at 10:00 am. The parade theme is “Nutty About Aubrey.” Live entertainment includes music, strolling magicians, and many peanut contests which include peanut spitting, peanut butter sandwich eating, peanut shelling and many others. There are over 150 arts and crafts booths including food booths with traditional festival menus. Many children’s games and activities will be available
